The HiLo wig wag columns are designed to carry out installation and maintenance on wig wag signs in a safe and secure manner. The special raise & lower tool provides easy raising and lowering of the column, manually from ground level. Therefore, no dangers associated with working at height and cost reductions associated with installation, ongoing maintenance and traffic management.
The design of the HiLo columns meet the British standard BS-EN 40-6 and the calculations are according to the British standard BS-EN 40-3-3. The HiLo wig wag columns are available in heights from 3-5 meter. To advise you on your specific project, we provide local technical support and training in the UK.

Aluminium Raise & Lower (HiLo) Lighting Columns
Easy and safe operation due to the lightweight of aluminium
Good quality lighting at stations is essential to help guide the traveler and to make them feel comfortable and safe in a busy environment that potentially is not familiar to them.
Installing and maintaining lighting columns at stations, or in other places where the column is difficult to access, can be a challenge. The HiLo column is a possible solution. Because lighting columns at stations are relatively small and the weight of the luminaire is low, the column can be raised and lowered without additional tools. Maintenance can be done manually, from ground level, without platforms or lifting equipment.

The hinge mechanism is invisible from the outside A spring protects the wiring in the hinge mechanism. The conical or cylindrical stepped HiLo columns are available in heights from 3-8 meter. For the operation of columns with a heavier lantern, an optional raise & lower tool is available.
Beyond HiLo columns for lighting, you can also use the hinge system for CCTV, signs and wig wag applications.
